Think of three good arguments that support your position. Write them down clearly.
Listen and show interest
Simply listen when the other person is speaking, without immediately saying anything or expressing your own opinion.Ask questions in order to better understand the other position
For example: “Can you explain to me why you think that way?”
“What is important to you about the topic?”Avoid wanting to be right.
You can say: “I see it a little differently, but that's okay.”
It's not about convincing the other person, but about having a respectful exchange.
